Sarah Davachi live

A Canadian composer and artist, Sarah Davachi specializes in drone music. She studies sound stretched over time, complex harmonics and textures, as well as psychoacoustic phenomena, which translates into incredibly fascinating releases and performances. Despite the academic concepts and experimental practices, her music is deeply personal, emotional, and sonically cozy. Davachi has just been immortalized in the “Portraits” series led by the legendary GRM — a research unit dedicated to electronic music, founded by Pierre Schaeffer, where the likes of Stockhausen and Xenakis studied.
