About our festival

Electrum Up To Date Festival is one of Poland’s most important electronic music festivals. It has been taking place in Białystok – the heart of northeastern Poland – since 2010. For 15 years, the UTDF team has been relentless in their uncompromising quest for the most interesting musical phenomena and is unafraid of adventurous programming decisions. The festival in Podlasie is also known for its deep roots in the urban fabric, support for local initiatives, and bold actions towards sustainable development and helping others.

Over the past decade and a half, hundreds of events have been organized under the Up To Date Festival banner. Many incredible artists from around the world, including legendary people pushing the genre boundaries, performed in Białystok alone. The festival has built its own Pozdro Techno Sound System, which allowed the sound to travel across Poland, including unique Salony Ambientu, one of the programming highlights of the festival, now taking place in different cities.

Over the years, the festival has taken place in various locations, including post-war warehouses on Węglowa Street, underground parking lots of the Białystok City Stadium, the Branicki Palace, and it has graced the stage of the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic Hall. In 2023, the festival team organized a “Secret Location” edition. The venue was kept secret until the festival began, reminiscent of the series of events organized by the UTDF crew in its early days, paying homage to independent rave events.

The team emphasizes that the initiative could not exist without their “ultras,” the loyal and engaged audience who have been building a great festival community together for years. Besides its musical activities, the UTDF team engages in numerous social actions and international projects. Festival’s continuous passion for painting murals depicting festival values, unconventional charity events and the intergenerational actions, such as a campaign trying to get your people to send a postcard to their grandma, have put Up to Date Festival on the map as an event that thinks about people behind the scenes and the broader community that makes it all possible in Białystok. The festival also speaks loudly and clearly about the impact of humans and the industry on the environment – all thanks to the implementation of eco-friendly solutions. Thanks to the international conference #DOWEREALLYCARE, the message that conversation and education are key to making informed decisions resonates loudly.

In 2024, the festival will take place from May 30 to June 2 in Białystok.
