Barker has just released the album “Stochastic Drift”, in which he continues his exploration of abstract electronic music. His sound has now moved far away from techno. Today, it resembles more the IDM music of the early ’90s, synthesizer pointillism, or even electronic jazz. It’s no coincidence, then, that the release came out on the Norwegian label Smalltown Supersound, and the producer and DJ strongly distances himself from the Berlin legacy. The result is fascinating and opens up new territories for post-club music
