Emily Jeanne

Emily Jeanne is a Vietnamese-born producer and DJ, currently based in Belgium. Somewhere between introspective selection and contemporary techno, she has developed a distinctive sonic language of her own, focusing on more experimental nuances of sound. The clearest expression of this aesthetic can be found in the two EPs released on her own label, quỳnh. By reducing techno and bass to almost skeletal arrangements, Jeanne reinterprets them through a personal lens, placing intricate and unconventional percussive structures at the forefront. Her sets are marked by a strong sense of dramaturgy and musical versatility – she guides the energy of the dancefloor with ease, avoiding easy solutions and the race for sheer intensity.
