We’re Not Slowing Down — Join Us at Labirynt Festival and the POLIN Museum

This year’s edition of Up To Date Festival has come to an end, but for many members of our community it marks only the beginning of new musical journeys. In the coming days, we invite you to two events that naturally extend the Up To Date Festival experience: Labirynt Festival in Łódź and a special screening of The Dybbuk with live music at the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw.

Up To Date Festival x Labirynt Festival

Our stage returns to Labirynt Festival as a continuation of the long-standing collaboration between two events that have helped shape the landscape of independent electronic music in Poland for years. The festival begins on June 3rd at the unique setting of Stadion Start in Łódź.

For more than a decade, Labirynt has been building its own identity, remaining one of the most important electronic music events in Łódź and one of the festivals most devoted to the values of Poland’s independent music scene. Openness, curatorial courage and a deep respect for club culture as a space for encounter, experimentation and community are all at the heart of Labirynt – values that have also been central to Up To Date Festival from the very beginning.

This year’s program on our stage presents a cross-section of generations and aesthetics within contemporary electronic music.

You will hear Szkoda b2b DIV4, representatives of a new generation of Polish artists moving freely between techno, bass music and club experimentation.

Kuba Sojka, one of Poland’s most respected electronic music producers, known for releases on labels such as Mathematics Recordings and Last Night On Earth, will join forces with Gary Holldman for a set rooted in experience, groove and a shared love for house and techno.

Polygonia is one of the most exciting figures in contemporary electronic music. Based in Munich and releasing music on labels such as Dekmantel and her own imprint QEONE, she combines techno, tribal influences, experimentation and organic rhythms inspired by nature.

Pariah, the British producer and DJ known as one half of Karenn alongside Blawan, has spent years pushing beyond genre boundaries. His work moves between techno, ambient, UK bass and experimental electronics, making each performance a unique exploration of contemporary club music.

The night will culminate in two special back-to-back performances curated together with Up To Date Festival.

First, Glassz, curator of the festival, will join forces with Pan JJJ. Their long-standing friendship and shared understanding of the dancefloor promise a set built on trust, dialogue and unexpected musical turns.

The closing set will bring together Up To Date Festival’s programming director Jędrzej Dondziło (Dtekk) and Mareena, the Berlin-based artist associated with Berghain, Tresor and the wider European underground scene. Their back-to-back will unite two distinct musical personalities connected by a common language of forward-thinking techno, deep selection and years of experience behind the decks.

Olga Anna Markowska and The Dybbuk at the POLIN Museum

If you’re still craving more after this year’s Central Ambient Salons, make sure to head to Warsaw on June 6th.

The POLIN Museum will host a special screening of The Dybbuk (1937) accompanied by a brand-new live score composed and performed by Olga Anna Markowska.

Created specifically for this event, the composition for cello, zither and electronics will accompany one of the most important works in the history of Yiddish cinema. Markowska’s work moves between ambient, minimalism, early music and contemporary sonic experimentation, creating immersive experiences centered on deep listening and the relationship between people and their environment.

Produced in collaboration with Up To Date Festival, the event serves as a natural extension of the Central Ambient Salons – a space where music becomes a tool for contemplation, memory and shared experience.

See you on the dancefloor, in the cinema hall and everywhere people, sounds and meaningful stories come together.
