A producer duo that stormed the world, due to their massive sound and mind-boggling composition ideas. In 2008 DRT and Kidnappa began their endeavor into dubstep, drum and bass and other genres not minding the usual ettiquette. Every one of their tracks is an instant hit.
They did loads of remixes for more or less known artists like Professor Green or Plan B, just check YouTube. Oh, and this will be their first and only apperance in Poland (for now)!

UP2D8 will harbor two of the three members of the finest turntable crew in the world. Together, they have gathered every single possible reward and title in their field. In a few, simple words – they use turntables like regular music instruments, and without a doubt, this is done by them perfectly. Tony Vegas and Prime Cuts will show up on the scene in Bialystok.

What do you get, if you mix up a honored, blinded by music dancer with a superb DJ? AUX 88! Keith Tucker and Tommy Hamilton are electro legends who have been on the stage for almost 20 years. They are people who constantly push the genre forward, never forgetting about their oldschool hip-hop roots. The latest album leaned a bit more in the direction of techno. In Bialystok you can expect their first, ferocious live act from the new European tournee. First time in Poland!!!

In our opinion, the revelation of European rap. Their debut album appeared literally a couple days ago. Fat beats, awesome vocals, flawless audio/visual realization and energy that cant even be compared to similar groups. You just have to check them out at Bialystok Up To Date Festival.

One man institution. Musician, artist, lecturer, programmer, the king of multimedia. Since the times of Chain Reaction, he experiments with music and art thanks to the inspiration he found on the verge of clubbing culture and academic life. If it wasn’t for him, we wouldn’t have Ableton, unique adio-visual performances, incredible installations… We will be honored to guest Robert Henke on Ambient Park, with a surround 4.0 live act prepared exclusively for the Planty Park. Silent Servant is a producer and dj responsible for some of the most eclectic and innovative sounds discovered in the techno in the past few years. Being one of the talents that helped get techno out of a crisis, he quickly found his place in the Sandwell District project, where he is also the author of their graphics. Mendez (his real name) surely isn’t a newcomer. In the 90’s, at the age of 16, he already was in charge of the best techno events in central USA. Today, we cant find a continent on which he hasn’t appeared yet, visiting the finest clubs in Los Angeles, Berlin or Osaka. The Up To Date Crew is preparing a big surprise involved with him. You will see later…

His surname sounds so weird, we arent even able to pronounce it correctly. But who owuld care about that, if his music has the ability to control the hearts of thousands of ambient and dub techno fans from all over the world. Since he was a little boy, he used synthesizers to create a certain amtosphere in music, thanks to what he released three albums: ‘Rhythm of Snow’ (Force Inc.), ‘Will I Dream During the Process’ and ‘Rigning’ (Sending Orbs) – each of them is a journey through intense sounds. Check him out in September at Weglowa.

A dude who plays an accordion, mashed up with a variety of broken jungle-breakbeat beats. And while he does that, he dresses up as a clown, makes a totally freaky show, dances, jumps, swims, sings and whatever else comes to his mind… He is the creator of clowncore and the cofounder of Life4Land label, which is involved with all types of music, from grime to the mentioned earlier jungle-core mixes.

Rappers from Sweden: Promoe, Supreme, DJ/producer Embee and CosM.I.C. Thanks to their excellent records and loaded with energy concerts, the group became a huge success worldwide. After 4 albums, tons of singles and many different projects, the time has come for their new album – ‘Professional Dreamers’, which will be presented for sure at the Bialystok Up To Date Festival.

Probably the most valued ambient producer in the whole world. Geir Jenssen comes from Norway, and lives 400km away from the arctic circle. Substrata, the album that is called the finest ambient masterpiece of all time, consists of a variety of sampled science-fiction sounds as well as the noises of the icy surroundings of Norway (the track Hyperborea from the album appeared on the soundtrack of the movie „Tree of life” with Brad Pitt as the lead actor). After half a decade of silence from Biosphere, N-Plants, his new album, heavily inspired with Japan’s nuclear power plants, was released.

His music is a mix of perfect percussions and heave basslines oscillating between dubstep and hip-hop. So far he has released tracks on Planet Mu and Ramp Recordings, lately he has signed a contract for an album with Ninja Tune. He is still a young producer with a short history, but we are sure that we will hear about him more in the future!

Have you ever stood next to a legend? How about in Bialystok? Robert hood is the source of techno, he is a man whose work reflects the soul of Detroit. Ever since the early 90′s, while he was a member of Underground Resistance and teamed up with Jeff Mills as the H&M duo, Hood worked really hard for the status he has achieved right now. His releases for Tresor, Axis, Music Man, Peacefrog and his own lalbel M-Plant have became milestones in the history of electronic music. We cant even mention the places he has already played at, there are just too many.

His name is Yoel and he comes from Benelux. A vegetarian, has his own blog. Old skater, he remembers the days when glitch hop and dubstep didn’t exist, and big brother was a great magazine about extreme sports, not some crappy TV show.

Gunnar Wendel is an enigmatic artist from Germany. We don’t really know much about him, besides the few “clues” he left on prestigious labels like Laid, Mikrodisko, Workshop, FXHE… And some micro-blogs on the web with an undefined theme. The beat structures in his music, fluctuating between house and techno, are combined with pretty melodic lines and some dancefloor energy. That was the story with Workshop EP, which managed to be the 10th best track of 2010 according to Resident Advisor. He is coming to Bialystok to play a live act. Looking at the growth of his popularity, we are sure he will be known worldwide some day.

He started his music career at the age of 13 in his hometown Brockley, London. He used to play reggae and similar things at some house aprties in his neighborhood. Nobody new back then that Remarc will be called the king of amen. Complicated, energetic percussions and deep, sinusoidal basslines are the most recognized elements in most of his tracks. A solid portion of finest music, from a truly oldschool pro!

Pleq is a solo project from Bartosz Dziadosz, a musician who experiments with drone, down tempo, glitch and modern classical music. His works are based on independently created synth sounds, often with the use of a piano or violin. A sensational, engaging melancholy is combined with typical technological noises. Pleq is an artist better known worldwide than in Poland.

Living in Łódź, a member of the group “Pierwszy Milion”. He won a contest in the Wudoo magazine, where the main prize was the ability to record and release an album. On the 9th April 2011, his longplay “Zeus, jak mogłeś?” landed in stores. It contained the track ‘Supełek z pętelką’, which is promoted by this clip.

Diox is a member of the Hi-Fi Banda, with whom he has released 3 unofficial albums and 2 official ones – on the Prosto label. He represented Poland on the HipHop Kemp festival in 2000 and 2010. In almost a year since the premiere, the clip to Diox’s signle “Mieli być tu” has been viewed over 1,5 milion times.

Łukasz „Małpa” Małkiewicz was born in Toruń, and this is where he currently lives. He released his first album in 2009 titled ‘Kilka numerów o czymś’. Lukasz doesnt think of himself as a superstar. „I am not a narcissist, but I sometimes have the decency to show my vanity. If I ever thought I wasn’t good enough , I wouldn’t leave the music studio and go further. I see however many flaws in my rap, and I am doing what I can to make them disappear.”

Parias is a hip-hop project created by three talented musicians form Warsaw: Włodi, Eldo and Pelson. The project is meant to be a collaboration between the poetic lyrics form Eldo and outstanding text from Włodi and Pelson. The name itself, Parias, means something unlikable and unwanted. The idea to create the project came up in 2007 at the hip-hop Kemp festival, where Włodi asked Eldo if he would like to work together. Pelson joined the group later.

Adam Zielinski was once identified with Wiele C.T. He started to be broadly recognized after his track “Złota Rybka” appeared on the O$ka “Kompilacja K2” album. Incredibly clever, humorous and introspective lyrics are Łona’s weapons with the fight against everyday’s routine. His debut album was released in November 2001 on Asfalt Records. Since then, still attached to the same label, Adam captures the minds of more unsaturated fans.

Aka Dubsknit aka Dr. Moustache aka Rick Shaw. Born in Podlasie, living in Kraków. Some say he looks a bit like Richie Hawtin, but we know he’s so much more than that . Deep, not necessarily heave basslines and percussion programing more funky than the ‘Funky Drummer’. Musical expression of a pro.

No one knows exactly who is Fotoplastikon. The one thing we can be sure is that his lab is based somewhere in central Poland.
After a chemical reaction failure in 1984 he gained ability to communicate with alien lifeforms through an steel head implant in his head.
Word on the street is he’s working on an army of biomutants, and with them he’s planning to take over the most significant centres of technical development.

A music producer, that’s so independent that in the past 10 years didn’t even send his self-made tracks to any record label. He’s involved in such projects as Behemoth Breaks, breakcore.p, Rest In Pieces Records and Blotklaat Rave. He produces musical expreiments involving noise, glitch, melodic breakcore and IDM. In his free time he enjoys cooking and putting together ridiculous how-to films.

A harshnoise/trash project cleverly constructed by people involved in arrangement of multi-disharmonious-vision in phonics and fauna, came into being in the beginning of 2002 Anno Domini. During its maturation a new trend of sound creation was born, identical with the civilizational protest against declining of common sound, in which one current of emotions dealing with possibility of inexpressible perception turns out to be a useless recorder. Thus, individuals aware of the needs of the unaware beings, are offering a way to achieve such state – through their own musical message, which, particularly during live shows, is enriched by costume-persuasive aspects.

Unfortunetly from different ends of Poland but still, hailing from the united love of techno music front the guys are a fun pack to watch, and an even better one to listen to. Essence had spend the last few months in China, Dtekk saw the Great Wall only on Nat Geo TV.. This year, they’re closing the Technosoul stage, when all of the weak will be sleeping..

Prodicer duo from Poznan. The music that they make is mostly jazz & soul inspired instrumanetal/abstract hip hop. Their tracks are rich in turntablist tricks – scratches and cuts.
Since their first video they had the honour to play at parties in most polish cities. Their first album entitled ‘Passion, Music, Hip-Hop’ had it’s premiere in may 2011.

Their last CD is called ‘Wysoki Łotr Mixtape’. Before, Sabot had a solo underground album ‘teRAPolska’ and with Adi, Pier and Daros the ‘S.P.A.D squad’. Gruber, in co-operation with Smalec recorded an underground record titles ‘Maximum Relaxu’ Last year at the Up To Date festival they accompanied PZG and did a great show! This year we’ve got the full deal: Sabot, Gruber, Tobi (MC’s) a beatboxer called Jurny and DJ Nash.

Beginner dj and producer. The one and only person on the Augustow breakcore scene. Used to be death metal fan, now breakcore, idm and jazzcore oriented. He likes it fast, slow and complicated. As he himself says: I’m from Podlasie so I can do whatever I bloody please.’
