The Up to Date Festival starts in just 10 days!

This year’s Up to Date Festival marks the new chapter in festival history. There’s new dates (June 23-24), new location (it’s secret!), a new ecological strategy and our first international conference in Białystok. We’re almost there as the festival starts in a bit over the week.

It’s the 14th edition of the Up to Date Festival already. This time, everyone with a pass will get an information where the festival takes place on the day of the event. We miss the classic 90s raves too!

As the festival has lost its Facebook profile and its main platform of communication, we encourage everyone to join the new group we created as we try to get back the control over the fanpage. In there, everyone will find all the organisational information about the festival and can mingle a bit before meeting IRL. The situation is an obvious hurdle for us, but it doesn’t diminish our determination to deliver the best edition of the festival.

This year’s festival brings over 40 artists from all over Europe to present a broad range of electronic music in Białystok. From various forms of techno, through bass music and electro to ambient and experimental sounds. You can find the full program below. Please note that unfortunately Sedvs was forced to cancel his appearance and will be replaced by Janusz Jurga with a live set.

Accompanying the festival is a conference under the “DO WE REALLY CARE?” slogan taking place at NieTeatr. It’s part of the Up to Date and Electrum collaboration to reduce the festival’s impact on the natural environment. Taking place on June 24th, the conference will feature two panel discussions.

The first one will discuss the music industry’s impact on the environment. Led by Misia Furta, singer and representative of Music Declares Emergency Poland, the speakers are: Grzegorz Stanisławski from Electrum Holding, Halvard Müller from Monument Festival in Norway, Paulina Żaczek from Granko Agency and Bartłomiej Arendarski from Fraunhofer Institute. The second one will explore the geographical inequalities in the music world. Led by festival’s own Cezary Chwicewski, the speakers will include representatives of Clubbing Heritage, Unrush, Setten Agency, Rhythm Buro, Monument and Sfora, as well as the Strategy & Development Director of Electrum Holding Jacek Poplawski.
